Shoreham by Sea is a quaint but lively village offering activities and excursions to suit all tastes and ages. We are situated right by the River Adur with its lush wetlands where you can view a large variety of birds and wild life. The beach also has a conservation area with unusual sea plants that plays host to a number of events that run throughout the summer.

The beautiful beach is just over the footbridge, it is a mixture of shingle and lovely large stretches of sand when the tide goes down, you may also walk towards the harbour and find the old Shoreham port, home to a number of extraordinary houseboats and yachts.

Explore the village; it has seven pubs within a five minute walking distance from the house and a large variety of tempting places to eat in or take out serving a mixture of different cuisines. There is a wonderful patisserie opposite the footbridge that serves fresh croissants and pastries; this opens from 7.30 am seven days a week during the summer and its absolutely perfect for lazy breakfasts at home or picnics on the beach.
