Getting to Arundel

The Train Station is just a short walk away from the Town Centre. The mainline rail link is direct from Shoreham and takes around 35 minutes, you can also get the number 700 bus from Shoreham, the bus stop is a minutes walk from Number Seven at Shoreham.

Arundel Castle

Set high on a hill in West Sussex, this great Castle commands the landscape with magnificent views across the South Downs and the River Arun. Founded at the end of the 11th Century, it has been the family home of the Dukes of Norfolk and their ancestors for nearly 1000 years.

Arundel Park

Arundel Park

Visit the magnificent 1,000 acre Arundel Park, take a boat out on the lake and grab a cream tea at Swanbourne Lodge which is situated at the gateway to the park, overlooking the boating lake, with a backdrop of cliffs and trees. The Lodge, built in 1852 is one of the best examples of a split flintstone building in Sussex.

Arundel Wetland Centre

Arundel Wetland Centre

Surrounded by ancient woodlands, deep in the Sussex Downs is a series of naturalised lakes, ponds and channels each offering wetlands habitats for wildlife and wildfowl from around the world. During summer holidays a discovery trail, craft activities and pond-dipping are on offer every day. Hand feed the geese and ducks with Ducks Dinners available for a small charge. Free boat safaris are available or enjoy a peaceful stroll or picnic at any time of year.

Situated in a prominent position in London Road, Arundel, West Sussex, the cathedral overlooks the ancient town of Arundel on the west bank of the river Arun, where the valley opens out into the coastal plain.
